I went through my Flarum settings and found that simply some permissions were not enabled that should have been. Sorry it took me so long. I have also assigned moderators. Emails technically work already, but I do not yet see an option for receiving an email when “Following” a thread.
Certain URLs will autofetch semantic content for display, and YouTube video links will auto-embed.
